Hello CHSC Families,

We’re excited to open registration for our Recreation Referee Program, designed to give players hands-on refereeing experience and bolster our weekend game coverage.

Who can apply?
CHSC Travel or Recreation Players born 2007–2014.

Why join?

• Learn the rules and flow of the game

• Build leadership and communication skills

• Earn community service hours (if applicable)

• Earn pocket money for players (players are paid per game and cashed out mid-season and end of season).

Important info:

• Submitting the form does NOT guarantee assignment.

• Returning referees in good standing receive priority—interest often exceeds available games.

• All games are on Saturdays; we’ll balance morning vs. afternoon slots whenever possible.

• You must provide your own whistle and stopwatch.

• Assignments will match your age group (you won't referee teams older than yourself).

What’s Next

• End of July: Selected referees will receive a text message inviting them to join our GroupMe group chat—this will be our primary coordination channel. Regrets will be sent to any referees not chosen.

• Mid-August: Mandatory in-person orientation meeting. We’ll review the rules, walk through game-day procedures, collect signed Referee Code of Conduct forms, and issue referee shirts to all new participants.
