Important Reminder

Minimize

Parent Code of Conduct Reminder
In a recent recreation game, several parents were involved in commenting directly to the referee about the calls that were made during the game. A player also heard opposing team parents commenting about him on the sideline.  The referee and player were upset by these actions. Additionally, a potential new referee who watched the game and witnessed the events decided she did not want to put herself in that situation and has decided against becoming a referee.
Parents and coaches are reminded to read our CHSC Code of Conduct which clearly states that at no time should any comments be made to the referee or players that could be taken negatively.  A referee's calls should never be questioned by parents on the sideline.

In addition, our travel teams are subject to the policies of New Jersey Youth Soccer and South Jersey Soccer League.  Please review SJSL Code of Conduct Statement.

U.S. Soccer's Coaching Education Department has just released a new publication for youth and junior level soccer coaches - "Best Practices for Coaching Soccer in the United States." This book includes a series of recommendations compiled and reviewed by U.S. Soccer’s Director of Coaching Education Bob Jenkins in conjunction with the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Team coaching staffs. It serves as a compilation of what U.S. Soccer considers to be an appropriate and responsible approach to developing soccer players. These player development guidelines highlight that there is a broad spectrum of styles and methods for how everyone experiences the game.
